Kilwa is a residential project where each resident builds their home within a unique ecosystem, with greater food, water, energy autonomy, and access to shared spaces and infrastructure for learning, working, and exchange—designed to support a more resilient, secure, and fulfilling way of living for the future.
Food is at the heart of Kilwa. Biointensive gardens, “seed-to-table” processing spaces, medicinal gardens, food forests, and a biocultural kitchen connect the land with gastronomy.
A proposal for those who wish to inhabit, care for, and co-create value in a shared territory — with clear rules, shared infrastructure, and a long-term vision.
Kilwa functions as a living laboratory for rural innovation, with many educational spaces, an art factory, and a hub for regenerative entrepreneurship.
1.8 hectares of regenerative land between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea — designed around permaculture, biodiversity, and conscious architecture.
The environmental crisis demands new ways of living. Kilwa is a concrete response — regenerating ecosystems and creating resilient communities.
